PROJECT ANNOTATION:
From June 11th to 14th, 2019, the Faculty of Economics of the University of West Bohemia will co-organize the 6th annual “Beeronomics 2019” international academic conference. The conference will include a section for students of the doctoral study program. Students of doctoral study programs can enter their paper into the competition for best paper, which will take place under the sponsorship of the Beeronomics Society. The conference will include a wide range of topics linked to the economics of beer, including the following: - economics of production and consumption - international and regional distribution and business - industrial organizations - management, marketing and market structure - beer consumption, beer selection and health - economic history, laws and regulations - innovations, impact of beer on society and culture The conference will take place in the area of the Pilsner Urquell brewery and the University of West Bohemia in Pilsen. Partners of the conference are the Pilsner Urquell brewery and Urpiner. The language of communication at the conference is English. The goal of this conference is to exchange experience within these thematic areas with the possibility of publishing results of individual research and establishing contacts in order to develop cooperation in an international perspective. The specific mission of the section for students of doctoral programs is allowing these students to acquire initial experience with presenting the results of their scientific activities. The conference’s focus on the support of scientific activity among young academic employees and doctoral program students and the establishment of international contacts is in full agreement with the Long-term Plan of the University of West Bohemia and the Long-term Plan of the Faculty of Economics of the same university.
