Short project description
Entrepreneurship education and financial literacy are two of the key challenges to the V4 countries. The aim of the project is research focusing on analysis and comparison of the current state of, and development possibilities for, entrepreneurship education and financial literacy. Furthermore, its aim is to establish Scientific Centers for Entrepreneurship Education in V4 countries in order to share best practices and transfer knowledge both among society, academic and business communities.Partners:

Events
Establishment of the Center for EntrepreneurshipThe Center for Entrepreneurship was established at the University of West Bohemia, Faculty of Economics thanks to the project “V4 Scientific Centers for the Enhancement of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education”. The main goal of the center is to contribute to the support and development of entrepreneurship activities, know-how and skills, and to improve the general status of entrepreneurial-oriented mindsets through its activities and exchange of knowledge in Visegrad countries.

International conference
International conference Entrepreneurship Education in Action was held on May 21, 2015 at the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic. The program of the conference was fruitful. During the morning part participants of the conference had the possibility to join several presentations from invited speakers (e.g. Tereza Vodickova from the Business and Innovation Centre Plzen, Blanka Bendlova from the JCI Czech Republic, Radka Trylcova from the Regional Chamber of Commerce Pilsen Region, Pavel Sasek from the Regional Court in Pilsen, Jaroslav Sip and Jan Horejc from the University of West Bohemia) on the topic of entrepreneurship education and entrepreneurship support. Afternoon program offered participants to discuss best practices in the field of entrepreneurship education, some results of partners’ participants of the project “V4 Scientific Centers for the Enhancement of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education” and join the panel discussion.
International workshop in Pilsen
The second day, May 22, 2015, was held workshop for partners of the project “V4 Scientific Centers for the Enhancement of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education” at the University of West Bohemia, Pilsen, Czech Republic. During the workshop were discussed organizational matters and final structure and form of project outputs.
Staff mobility in Pécs
The representatives of the University of West Bohemia (CZ) participated in staff mobility at the University of Pécs, Faculty of Business and Economics from 8th to 12th December, 2014 within the project “V4: Scientific Centers for the Enhancement of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education”.
The purpose of the mobility was to establish closer cooperation with University of Pécs and get experience from the Business and Economics Development Centre. The representatives of the University of West Bohemia attended the final presentation of the project from 2 programs that the Business and Economics Development Centre organizes, namely Simonyi Entrepreneurship Development Program and Simonyi Idea Competition (photos below).
International workshop in Nitra
First international workshop of the project “V4 Scientific Centers for the Enhancement of Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship Education” was held at the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SK) on 2nd and 3rd October, 2014.
The participants from the University of West Bohemia (CZ), the Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra (SK), the University of Economics in Bratislava (SK), the University of Zielona Góra (PL) and the University of Pécs (HU) met to discuss project issues and main outputs, tasks and deadlines. During the workshop the topics of entrepreneurship education and financial literacy and their importance for entrepreneurship development were widely discussed. The workshop resulted in specification of research methodology.
